setting teeka..

hello ladies n germs!! sorry havnt been able to frequent this place too much off recent…
either ways.. please need help/ideas/suggestions..
how do i set teeka in my hair?? im required/have been requested to wear a teeka on these upcoming occassions.. where few of the days im not getting my hair done from a professional.. and im not taking a dupatta to cover my head either.. more of an informal teeka-setting scenario..
please help!
ive spent the past few days trying it on.. but i dont know how to fix the hair pins at the back… like wat direction are they suppossed to run?? b/c if i put them towards the right/left of my middle part, they just flow down the hair…

Am sorry i dont know, but if i find out i shall inform you.

Re: setting teeka..

To ensure that the tikka sets in place you would need to do a hairstyle, e.g. a traditional joora. Other ways to secure is if you pin/clip half your hair into a hairstyle and then put tikka in centre parting. You may want to use some 'backing tape' which you can get from the Bodyshop (if youre based in UK) and stick tikka to ur forehead so it doesnt dangle about.

Hope that helps.

Re: setting teeka..

^u can also use a dab of fake eyelash glue to help keep it in place

Re: setting teeka..

glue it..n if that dsnt wrk tape it…n if that dnt wrk…“ghoond” it…if that dsnt wrk…use sum huny..if that dsnt wrk…use ur spit…if that dsnt wrk…nail it…if that dsnt wrk…then leave me alone

Re: setting teeka..

you wud need to do some 'back-combing' to pin it up..

Re: setting teeka..

isnt there usually a little loop at the chain end of the teeka that you pass the pin through? do two pins diagonally opposite to one another-- so they cross over each other after they pass through the loop. and yes a bit of backcombing would help secure it, and/or lots of hairspray after you've pinned it in.
