Re: sesame seeds in prenancy?

lol... i dont think any thing will happen to you. If it is big concern then stop putting them. Besides, i think you can make a delish salan without using too many of seeds like sesame, the black kalonji, etc.

Re: sesame seeds in prenancy?

I read the title as sesame street in pregnancy :D

Re: sesame seeds in prenancy?

I think it's probably black sesame (or kalonji) that has issues, but either way, a little bit once probably isn't a big deal. But if you have a concern, just avoid it in the future.

Re: sesame seeds in prenancy?

I think it's because they have too much "heat" in them? You know how we divide our foods into thandey or garam...

Just avoid using them. But if you ate them, it's not a big deal. Here in USA, the average American woman eats a burger on a sesame seed bun every day. So it really cannot be a big issue.

Re: sesame seeds in prenancy?

^ Oh yeah, if it is regular sesame seeds, I was having them daily during my second trimester. Those hamburger cravings were awesome. :p
