I believe there is texture difference between Cream & Gel, Gel isbetter suited for oily skin? Rite? And Serums have better capability of reaching in the deeper layers of your skin. However today somebody told me that you can’t use the serum alone as it’s not good when you go out in the sun? Is that true? She said you have to put the serum on first and then the moisturiser. I am . If it’s not true then what do you think i should rather go for; moisturiser or serum?
serum is used more as a treatment- like for anti-aging, etc and doesn't usually (if ever) have spf and not super moisturizing- that's why if you're going to use serum you need moisturizer over it for spf protection and suppleness
if you want/need to use a treatment serum just use it at night and use your regular spf moisturizer during the day
ok do u guys think its ok to use serum & moisturiser of diff brands? i have chanel's facewash, toner, moisturiser, exfoliant, masque not the serum...but i m thinking of replacing the moisturiser with chanel's serum and just using olay's moisturiser because i have used them b4 n they r nice bt since i m nt sure abt serums, i wl stick with chanels as the hydra beauty serum seems very nice.
yes, you can mix diff brands there is no issue with that
just be careful that the products you choose don't have conflicting ingredients- meaning don't use 2 products at the same time that have strong active ingredients like retinols (alpha hydroxy), glycolic acid, salicylic acid, beta hydroxy, etc.. if you serum has this then use a "plain" moisturizer (olay complete is a good choice)
btw the olay beauty fluid is just the lotion version of the olay cream- meaning it's more lightweight than the cream in the pots- so it is probably better for summer

yah that is true... so what do u say about chanel's hydra beauty serum vs chanel's hydramax beauty gel cream. im asking u since u seem to know quite a bit about the skin care products.
i like olay and their creams r fab! :D i think i wl try one lotion but i have a feeling i wl prefer the cream.
