why is it hard to understand that ? within the scope of cafe, whenever a question is been asked BACK, it has never been answered.. with time i’m wondering if its a bot among us thats just testing the leech-in-nose theory of biologists..

aishaindubai, we’re doing what we believe is best for the Cafe and consequentially, the quality of threads has been improving (as well as the amount of posters) in case you haven’t noticed..

I didn’t read this entire thread before posting this reply, but this is my one and only reply in this thread. See the bold replies below.

1. if u close down “fazool” threads, people will get bored…
   There is difference between fun and when it’s plain annoying
2. the non “fazool” threads follow the topic but then people start deviating…
   Those people need to open seperate threads instead of derailing a thread
3. u are trying to bring more people to this site, but by giving warning to people opening threads, in reality u are demotivating people from opening threads. what will happen? new people might come:chai: some old members might leave:chai:
   We do not warn people for opening threads. We warn people for opening pointless thread that waste resources. Also, we discourage flooding, which is to post a few consecutive replies and to post smilies only etc.
4. Agreed there should be a limit to how many threads someone opens in a day.
   Yes, and there is. You will receive a lovely PM from mods if you open too many threads.
   A policy can be applied that one ‘fazool’ thread per day or something. Like i said people might get bored and serious threads might deviate.

Mods truthfully tell me, how long can a discussion really take place on a serios topic? **For as long as people want. **Dont u think no matter what people are going to flood in serios threads and talk about other things? Again, normal talk is fine, it’s when thread goes off topic and one has to read through 11 pages to find a few sensible replies that relate to the topic on hand.
6. Do we really want Cafe to be like General? Isnt General enough for “serious” talk. Why should “Cafe” be turned into another “General”?
   The point is not to convert cafe into general. The point is to discourage pointless threads. If there is no good topic to open threads, DO NOT open a thread just for the hell of opening a thread. Kisi hadees mein nahi likha k topic na bhi ho, thread kholna zaroori hai
