Sequence of Surah in Namaaz

I would like to know in what sequence (order) we can read Surahs in Namaz.

1- Ascending order
2- Dscending Order

Please discuss. If possible quote reference.

i dont have a quote but in madressa we were always taught that you should read the surah's in the order that they are in the Quraan and to read them backwards is makrooh. So for example, if you pray surah Falaq in the first rakaat, then in the secound rakaat you should pray a surah that comes after surah Falaq, (e.g surah Naas) and not before.

It is based on various opinions of scholars, and each sect has their own opion. Nobody seems to have any reference from Hadees or Sunnah.

Oky let share how we read Surahs in two rakat namaaz. Let's see how majority read the Surah in rakats. I read as ArshH said. :)

Many people (Or at least my teacher lol) claim that the Quran which we have today, in the order we have today, is divinly inspired. Like it was an order from Allah to make Surah Fatiha first and Surah Baqarah next and on till Surah Nas. It was then memorised in this order and written by Uthman May Allah be pleased with him. Thus we must recite it in the order we have today. Like Arsh said

In my previous thread I asked about Farz rakats of a namaz if one or two rakats is missed than how to read it. I have one more question. Suppose I joined Farz namaaz in very first rakat but in ruku. That means I read all four rakat of farz namaaz ba-jamat. But I joined the Jamaat while ruku not at beginning where we read Surah Fatiha+Surah. Isn't necessary to offer it?

Any suggestions plz.
