Re: Separatist movements in India

I am actually quite surprised that there are only these many seperatist movements in India. I believe that there are somewhere on the order of twelve movements, hardly anything at all.
Anything can be a movement, with the advent of the internet. One person in a chai stall can become a movement for the right of "self determination" for his own corner of the world. This is one of the cool things about freedom of speech and freedom of press. You have lots of latitude to say anything you want.
I say publish away, create movements, gather, speak, and print. That is how people begin to build consensus. That is how people in the North and East, and West, begin to see how the people in the South feel. That is how sympathy builds, that is how a consensus democracy is made.

A real democracy should have atleast as many seperatist movements as the US does. One of my favorites, among the 50 or so, is La Voz de Aztlan. Another good one is Partido Nacional La Raza Unida. I bet the US does not break up.

In our discussion here, in this context, I bet India does not break up either. As a matter of fact, only one country in out context has shown a propensity to breaking up...it is also the only country in the world where a mojority choose "freedom" from a minority.

Re: Separatist movements in India

Other separatist movements:

All India Bangalore Liberation Front

All kerala pulaya mahasabha fighting front.

All Kerala malayalee liberation movement(tribute to 1946)

All kerala pattar liberation froent for the liberation of Nampoothiri's and pappers.

Most of these groups are very dangerous organizations and the last group was involved ion killing and exhtortion of Hindus.Jews and Christians in kerala.

                   :D

Apart from these ,All kerala kakkan Front which even engaged in the abduction of Hindu soldirs from Nazi Jails has been operating here since 1921.

All India Nazrani force was fully cracked and sent to sepulchres by the end of 1980's.Thanks to some of the heroic efforts by General Kunjhalikutty and his policwe wing :)

Re: Separatist movements in India

Ohh you have taken Delhi also :stuck_out_tongue:

Atleats you could have spared Rajasthan…

Re: Separatist movements in India

PWG is not a freedom /separtist movement. They are involved for the social changes in Thelungana theatre.PWG has a considerable support in the state and even in the cisties like Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

I would tell that PWG is a very socially committed organization and they do not involve in suicide attacks or train bombings or holy shrine bombings as some of my brothers do :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Separatist movements in India

India is a artificial state. It has never existed in history and its conclusion is inevitable,,, many small successor states. South Indian and North Indians are as different as Scandanavians and Italians. Indian Punjab is only part of India because of Indian Armies genocide of the Sikhs in the '80's

Re: Separatist movements in India

that's called unity in diversity mister. It happens and works in civilized countries such as ours. Many races, religions, cultures all live and work together. It's called civilization. As opposed to religious fundamentalism and hatred.

Re: Separatist movements in India

hahahahah diversity. Tell that to Gujrati muslims who live in perpetual fear. Divisiveness is a human trait I firmly believe. In time India will crumble, you can supress seperatists forever. The difference between cultures of various regions is just too great.
BTW about religious fundamentalism :hehe:. I believe India is the only country in the regioun which has DEMOCRATICALLY elected a hindu fundamentalist govt., no?
There has never been a democratically elected fundamentalist govt in any other country within the region.

Re: Separatist movements in India

^ guess this is your night of clowning! Go look up the ‘religious fundamentalism’ of our leaders - Abdul Kallam. Manmohan Singh. Sonia Gandhi. :rotfl: Are these the Hindu fundamentalists you are referring to? :rotfl:

The whole world believes India has laid the foundation for a fantastic future based on diversity and tolerance. That’s why everyhpur of everyday, people are moving money from other parts of the world to India.

A bit of reality for you.
