Re: Separate Vacations?
Most couples I know go on vacations together and separately. I know one couple who rarely travel together. The reason? She’s scared of flying…he LOVES to travel. So while they restrict “their” vacations to driving distances and SHORT flights to visit family b/c of her phobia…the husband regularly goes on international vacations by himself or his friends. He actually likes to travel by himself (something the rest of social circle really doesn’t “get”).
I think “normal” is what works for a couple. The couple mentioned above, neither of them have any issues with the “arrangement”. So if the couple themselves have no issues with taking vacations separately…then it really shouldn’t matter to anyone else.
