can u read arabic? f so then start urdu qaida (i am serious)
n start watching urdu drama. there are couple of them on you tube.
its good u r feeling the need of urdu now.
p.s. i dont know y but its parents job to realise this ting but they dont do that. i worked on mine by my self.
ps.2 the more lang u know the better it is. :D
