Sensitive & oily skin

Hey F&B experts,
I have extremely sensitive and oily skin. I’ve been trying to look for the perfect skin regimen and everything has been a disappointment so far. I’m not sure if i should moisturize my skin because every moisturizer i’ve used up until now made me break out severely. I’ve tried clinique which is said to be for sensitive skin, but results have been the same.
I gave up on everything and stuck to a cetaphill cleanser followed by a Thayers toner. My skin has calmed down a lot but a few days ago a pustule popped up right under my lower lip and a few red dots around my cheeks.

any recommendations on how to tackle this issue?
will appreciate all the help.
thanks (:

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

Hey Help :),

cetaphil is good. I myself use the same. But i m going under skin treatment thru a derm my skin type is also like urs. My derm recommented cetaphil moisturiser as i used to get extremely dry due to the nature of the medicine i use however, cleanser and toner are both garnier .

Neutrogena are also good.

Wud like to know if u wear any make up cuz a particular brand might not be suiting u. Again, it all depends on ur eating habbits and routine as well.

hope abv helps.
:)

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

thanks Moonlight786.

I've tried Neutrogena, didn't help at all. and i don't use makeup much. I do use clinique's sunblock and powder but they don't affect my skin much unless i leave them on for more than 3 hours.

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

So no one else has any useful tips?

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

Have you tried any Olay products..or Johnson's products made specifically for 'sensitive' skin?

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

Olay results in the same break outs on cheeks.
do i need to see a derm?

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

I think you should..perhaps it's a hormonal issue and not the products that you're using.

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

thanks. (:

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

Don’t be upset, it’ll do you more good in the long-run Inshallah. It’s a lot better than trying out new products and not being satisfied..

Re: Sensitive & oily skin

Yeah i know, thanks (:
I'm only 19 and my skin is already worn out because of all the different products i keep trying. derm is my best bet atm.
Thanks again Gina!
