I don’t typically wear eyeliner. Recently I started to wear it.
I’m noticing some itching and burning though.
Anyone else have this issue and what brand was good for you? I want a felt tip liner or something similar.

Re: Sensitive Eyes?
Eyeliner on your waterline or on the lid of your eye?
Re: Sensitive Eyes?
I notice my eyes get like this when I wear liquid liner, esp. if it gets in the inner-corners towards the tear duct. That's why I prefer gel. If I am using liquid, I keep it for the outer 2/3rd of my eye.
Also, I notice my eyes get more irritated when I use a felt-tip and not at all when I use a brush. Did you try testing w/ a fine liner brush? It doesn't have to be expensive, it can even be a $2-$3 art brush.
Re: Sensitive Eyes?
Liquid eyeliner is horrid. I would rather suffer with the 20 minutes it takes to apply gel eyeliner than use liquid eyeliner.
Re: Sensitive Eyes?
^Do you also get sensitive eyes w/ liquid liner?
Re: Sensitive Eyes?
No, I just dont like the way it looks. My sister uses it and I tell her I hate it all the time.
Honest opinion by the way, im not trying to offend the liquid liner gods or anything.
Re: Sensitive Eyes?
I also get horrible sensitive eyes with liquid liner!
no issues with bobbi brown gel liner.
I also get eye infections from lash primer :/

lol, yeah. The liquid linerers can get quite senti. But I do like liquid when I want to go over the lashline. I just dont get it too close to the tear duct.
Re: Sensitive Eyes?
eye allergies to eye makeup maybe? that's what i have, eye allergy drops are a God send for me now i can actually wear the mascara and the eye liner without the itching/burning/redness that was horrible b4 i found out i had them. oh and always make sure the eye makeup is hypoallergenic/ophthalmologist tested/if you're a contact lens wearer like me, contact lens wearer safe i need to have all that in the eye makeup product before i bring it anywhere near my eyes
don't use eye makeup that others have used

On the lid of my eye. I wear kajal on the waterline for now.

I wore liquid liner with a felt tip yesterday...got a little red but didn't really give it much thought. Today...my eyes went haywire on me...ruined my makeup with all the water running and OMG my eyes were burninggggggggggggggg.
I like liquid because of the very neat and precise line it gives and the felt tip is a great guide. I have MAC's gel liner...I think I'll try applying that with an artist brush tomorrow and see how that turns out. I just really like the precision the pen gives.
What if I used the pen with the gel? Or is that just asking for trouble?

Awww...I love the look of liquid! It is soooo precise!

Wow, that does not sound good! Maybe you're allergic? And if you use the felt-tip from the liquid liner, it'll ruin the felt all together. Try it with a pencil liner instead. Make sure it's sharpened but not sharp at the tip. I do this sometimes when I want to line my waterline with gel.

Re: Sensitive Eyes?
I don't often use eyeliner but my eyes water like crazy when I use MAC Studio Fix liquid foundation :(
Re: Sensitive Eyes?
My mom bought this liquid eyeliner and I soon as I would put it on my eyes it would burrrrrrrn. And it would be on the top lid too. My eyes are usually ok with other eyeliners. Moral of story buy eyeliner that I at least have heard the brand of =/
