Sending/Transfering Money from Pak to USA

Assalaam-o-Alaikum Guys and girls,

I have some questions about sending money from Pakistan to USA and would appreciate if anyone on the forum who has information can provide answers to the following questions I have. Thank you.

  1. What is the max amount allowed (by the govt. of Pak) per person to carry US dollars out of Pakistan?

  2. What is the max amount allowed by the govt. of Pakistan/Bank to transfer money via wire transfer to an account in USA? Is the amount based on per transaction?

  3. How much are the charges (including bank/govt. fees) for wire transfer that a Pakistani bank would charge?

  4. Are there any other better options to transfer money from Pakistan to USA (e.g. hawala, etc.), because I heard that the fees amount charged by bank in Pakistan are ridiculously high if you transfer money thru a bank there.

Ok, so i guess no one has any clue about this. Ok, no problem.

1) 10000$

2) I have transferred well over 200k in and out w/o any problems.

3) The Bank will charge interbank rate + whatever the fee normally less then 1% of total amount. They will use SWIFT.

4) Rest are illegal ways, be ready to be questioned by IRS or Federal agents about the source of money. Its not easy anymore after 9/11.

I don't know about these days but two years back we require a certificate from bank manager stating the money is white meaning the tax is paid on it
