I want to write a personal check to someone in Pakistan. How would I go about that? Can I write one from my checking account in USD and the amount, will they be able to take it to the bank and get the equivalent? I don’t want to wire it as I would like to include it with a card if possible.

u can write a check but it will take 20 to 30 days to cash it.

Thanks, now if I want to mail it what is the general address convention for Pakistans postal system?

house, street
post office name
road, city, country
Is this correct? No zip code or postal code?

^ don't write a personal check have UBL send them a personal check. Jsut open an account online on UBL clik'n'remit. They will let you send the money via:
1. deposit into the persons UBL account
2. send the person a check if they don't have a UBL account.
No 1 is safest.
The money if sent via check will be in Pak rupees and the conversion rate plus a fee will apply!
