Since there are no direct flights from US to Pakistan at least for now. That also seems to have disrupted the ease with which dead bodies used to be transported to Pakistan. Now it seems embalming the body has become a requirement for the transportation. Anyone aware of any alternate by which dead body can be transported from US to Pakistan without embalming?

That was the only advantage of PIA on our side
But it has stop ages ago because of failing to comply with safety requirement
Don't think any airline does now
There are ways but they are quite expensive and AFAIK require embalming the body which was not required by PIA. Even if people pool money, that is something one would want to avoid. Here is a relevant article.

If only government cares , can come up with other airlines for such service
Money is not the issue , time is as needs to be done asap
Others will spend lot of time on paperwork but Desi have the common sense to know it need to be done asap
PIA got permission to operate direct flights to the USA for the first time in history. The permission expires April 2021 and caps max flights to 12 per month. PIA has announced it will be transporting dead bodies as before when indirect flights were operating. More info
