Re: Sending a vehicle from USA to Pak…

I’d think twice about exporting a car if I were you. Unless you’re REALLY intent on having that particular car only.

Duties depends on the car’s country of origin. Asian cars have less duties. American cars have ridiculous duties. A car older than three years is not allowed. For a brand new car it’s 100% duty but you are allowed a custom reduction of 2% per month for a used car - upto a maximum of 50% reduction. A car older than 3 years is not allowed.

For instance, if you have a 25 month old car (date of production) - you get 50% off on duty. That is the most you can get. If your car is 12 months old - you get 24% off.

I heard that in the new budget in Pakistan duty on car import has been decreased to 30% for used cars… is that true?

Why would you want to send a left hand drive car to Pakistan? What kind of car are you sending?
