He is the reason why majority of people go to the stadium. Ban him and you'll see empty stadiums for Pak even for ODI/T20 matches.
Imran retired and ppl continued to watch the game. Wasim and Waqar retired and ppl still watched the game. Saeed and Inzi left and the game goes on. but if this rubbish brainless slogger goes, then that will be the end of cricket in Pakistan? Mashallah...
and what is so wrong with politicians taking up cricketing issues? and if all issues are to be prioritized and only important ones to be addressed, then don't we have better and more important things to do than follow cricket as well?

a crook is a crook and should not be allowed to represent a country. do you Pakistanis want to win a match even if it is by dishonest means, such as what afridi has tried time and again? are guys thinking you cannot sooner or later come up with some players who can win a match playing and not cheating?

wow! ok so it is not just afridi who is a crook. but still there seems to be something different (may be scale) between rubbing the seam versus spike-dancing on the pitch or eating a ball. Stupidity may be the difference between the two.
it is sad. but a point has to be made in no uncertain terms that this sort of dishonesty will not be tolerated. It is bad sportsmanship but worse, it reflects on the country you're representing.

The issue of Afridi being reprimanded is a separate issue, but this thread is about politicians butting in and interfering with the working of sports authorities such as the PCB and the ICC.
If you don't have an issue with this type of interference, then good luck to us trying to eliminate favoritism in player selection and cronyism in official appointments at the PCB level. It's a slippery slope, and if we're okay with politicians interference in one arena, then we shouldn't complain about parchi and sifarish.
