Firts dye the xtra chiffon tht u’ ve in the background/base colour of ur short kaam shirt.
Keep the front kaam part of that shirt as is, as middle panel and, add lots of panels at its sides by increasing the length of each panel all the way upto the back (to your desired length). You will get a short front and increasing side panel tail style shirt.)

PS: Beleive me that would look very stylish
