I know 3 minute is still left in Brazil vs France game but I wanted to open the thread for one Semi.

The way france is playing they will be able to beat Portugal and move into Final.

It will be an awsome game..

Portugal did not look like semi final team today, by any means. They were absolutely clueless without Deco. Whereas France played like champions; truly worldclass performance. I would be VERY shocked if France do not make it to the final.

I became victim of a fraud how do I get my money back.

portugal sucks..c.ronaldo is an a$$hole..i hope they lose to France not just cause france is a better team but i dont think portugal deserves to be in the semis after their performance against england and they were lucky against Holland too...Fuk figo, lets go Zidane you are the man.

judging from the last few matches I expect France to advance.

it will be interesting to see how the 4-5-1 systems works out against a 4-3-3. I think France will have the edge. With Henry upfront and Zidane behind him, no coach can afford not the double mark both these players. If you take 1 vs 1 on the flanks, it will be a total of 6 players with defensive duties against 4 attackers from France. Therefore, a key role will be for Vieira, if he pushes up the field. One defender from Zidane will have to mark Vieira, creating extra room for the maestro and then anything can happen.

On the other side, Pauleta hasn’t been in prime form(yet) so Thuram and Gallas shouldn’t have much problems with him. Ronaldo and Figo will have interesting battles against the wingbacks, but I expect the French to hold them at bay. In midfield Deco seems lost already against Makalele and Vieira.

I just hope it doesn’t go to penalties because then I think Portugal have the edge.

But in regular time, France to progress 2-0 :k:

Why is Ronaldo a$$hole? Did he stamp or push anyone? Rooney is really an a$$hole - overhyped and overrated player. He reminds me off Beckham when he started his international career - over hyped. When opponents worked him out - he didn't do much.

It will be a close match and I feel the experience and maturity will take France through to the final.

I wouldn't count Portugal out that easily. They will have a full strength team with decho(sp?) , Figo , Ronaldo leading the attack...and ronaldo is in his prime form , he showed excellent skills against England. I didn't know he was that good!! It will be a great matchup.

This should be a hell of a match with Figo against Zidane fighting for their last shots at glory.

France is favorite, and Zidane wants to go out firing. And Henry is a gem. But Portugal's steady defensive form should make things interesting. Ricardo does seem like a class GK as evident from Euro04 and in this WC. I've always wonder why he is not at a bigger club. Scolari really places his trust on some of these players like Costinha who has not even played much due to conflicts with his Russian club and Nuno Valente really has struggled at Everton.
