Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

As salaamu aleykum everyone! I have some great new, and used formal wear I am selling. I am based in usa, so all shipping nationally is only 5 usd. And internationally (contact me and I will find out exactly how much it is). Here are the pictures.

I have more to post, keep checking

Please note that these dresses are mine and I bought them and have them in possesion. They aren’t Saira’s and I had only 1 listed that was hers (not claiming that it was mine) and I removed it.

Please remove my outfits from your EBAY listing! how can you just remove my watermarks and put yours over them! I will make sure you are lawfully tracked down if you do not remove them today.

Thankyou

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

Im sorry sister, I will remove those. The other ones I am selling though are my own.

I thought it was okay to re-sell them sinceI had seen pakifairy selling them without mentioning your name. I also wrote on the photo that these arent my designs and they belong to the sole property of saira. Inshaa Allaah I will take them down upon your request.

Im sorry I didnt ask beforehand : ( Please forgive me

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

wow.

I cannot believe how people using words like inshAllah can be committing such dishonest acts simultaneously, it's really a disgrace to the religion. Alot of work is involved by all of us designers on Gs in each of our outfits from buying the fabric to dying it to spending hours at the dyers for the right color, getting sketches made for each design, keeping track of the progress and of our labourers, every sequin, stone and embellishment is paid attention to, the stitching the fitting the piping the accents and touching, the cut the design. That takes days and weeks and we do not do this just so people can copy paste and sell and ridiculous amounts making not only the same amount of profit that we do after all this work but also ripping other 'sisters' off. That aside, she is not my vendor anymore (pakifairy) I have not been letting her sell my outfits for months nor do I make any outfit for her so if she is still selling my designs secretly though I don't think she is, they are not made by me and will be nothing like the original. Absolutely put off by how you can justify like this.

OMG!!!

Thats terrible :0(

sorry 'sister' but i think you should be chucked off this forum - its a blatant violation of resepect!

SairaJi I am sure if you complain to ebay they can disable her account - under the counterfit goods act

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

I appologize for my quickness to judge. I didnt know that pakifairy wasnt allowed to sell from you anymore. I just had seen her much before you came on here selling them and so I assumed it was okay. Muslims are not Islaam yaa saira...Islam is perfect...muslims and humankind are not. I appologize for my mistake.

I thought it would be okay to sell one dress of yours on ebay while bringing you business and myself making a profit. I put on there that they didnt belong to me and that they belonged to you (saira). And I just put my ebay ID on there so that the buyers would go through me to get them from you, not to claim that they were mine or that I was re-making them. Please understand this.

I appologize for not asking your permission, it was a poor decision on my part and not responsible.

I am not one of those shops trying to re make your outfits or claim that the designs are mine. I even posted on the fashion section about how I was excited about the abaya you started for me and said I would post pictures of the final one with your permission. You can even check it.

I had just acted rashly and assumed it was okay to resell without claiming ownership of the designs or remaking them. I appologize.

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

Supersummer: I have already complained to them :(

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

WTh !

umm adbir Rahman I think you should have ask saira before listing them on ebay .

Thank you supersummer for your reply. I posted just under your post what happened and that I wasnt trying to sell her things as mine at all, nor was I trying to remake them at all.

I dont think any of that is neccesary because I removed the one dress, and I appologized for not asking permission.

I remmeber saira mentioning there were many people remaking her dresses and saying they were theyr own. I didnt do this. I was just doing what i saw pakifary doing a looong while back before saira came on the forum. She would say they were from a local designer in pakistan, and put in her profit and list them here (THIS WAS BEFORE - please note i am not accusing pakifairy of continuing to sell them, but as well all know a long while back before she was) I didnt know that pakifary was restricted from re selling them anymore, as I didnt see any posts regarding the matter.

I hope saira can understand that it was an honest mistake and I had no bad intentions behind it of copying her designs or saying that they were my own. I admit that I was rash, didnt ask for permission, and didnt have the right to it.

Yes I should have.

Please do not slaughter me everyone .... we all make mistakes. Im not a shop or a scammer trying to get to saira at all.

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

I removed it right away when saira told me to. Ive been in this forums for almost 9 months without any thing wrong ... wallaahi it was just a poor mistake on my part.

Again I cant stress enough that I didnt try to remake or resell anything as my own . I just thought i could be a vendor on ebay for saira, but I should have gotten permission first.

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

I even remember now the hadeeth that the Prophet (salAllaahu aleyhi wa sallam) said:

"Do not sell anything until you have returned it to your horse" (by that meaning)

Meaning, dont sell anything you dont have in your physicall hands.

I learned this now, and I wont ever do it again inshaa Allaah. I just hope above all that sister saira takes this hadeeth into consideration:

A man passed by the Prophet (salAllaahu aleyhi wa sallam) and he said to the sahaabah: This man is someone who will be amongst the ones in paradise.

The sahabah were very curiose why the Prophet (salAllaahu aleyhi wa sallam) asked about this. So one of them followed this man to his house, and asked if he could stay with him. So he said yes.

The companion finally admited why he had come to stay, and told him what the Prophet said to him.

That man replied "I do not know of anything that I do for that, other than I dont keep any hate or resentment or revenge in my heart for my brother in Islam"

by that meaning

So it is a mercy to forgive...

I should have asked for permission, please dont penalize me for some other scammers and shops and copy artests as bad as they should be penalized.

As pakifairy was told to stop vendoring, she stopped when told. So now I myself, have been told and warned, and I have stopped

PS: I can retreive the exact reference numbers in the sunan if anyone is interested

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

C'mon guys stop bashing her now

Umm: No need to quote hadeeth, you apologised and took the listings off.End of story

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

uhh, it's not really the same as PF was doing at all as she was more or less an "official" vendor.

so stop repeating that as your logic for doing this.

however you look at it, it's wrong and you can't dress it up any other way. how can you think that removing watermarks and putting your label all over pictures is okay?

you also don't mention saira in your listing as you claim.

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

Trying to play naive...please don't bring religion into this.
Also, why are you comparing yourself with PF??? She was the official vendor, that means she sold saira's approved outfits, created by SairaJi ONLY. You just copy pasted a picture and put your name on it.

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

Ok guys calm down. Whether it was an honest mistake, etc, teh original poster has apologized. No need to jump on her.

Agreed!

Saira- Once your designs are out for the public to see, people will copy. If big names like Karma and HSY get copied then what makes you think yours shouldn't? I think she should have left the logo on the dress. But no matter what, there is a professional way to handle situations, and you just exploded like a child. And furthermore, she didn't hurt your business in anyway, therefore, you don't need to be bashing her when she had already asked for forgiveness and done just as you had asked!

Umm- You have already realized your mistake and you fixed it right away, just be carefull next time.

Re: Selling some formal wear (great for eid, parties and weddings)

Gaia - that's a fair point too.

But Umm was not copying, she was selling Saira's work onwards. I presume once an outfit was bought via ebay, she would place an order for it with Saira.

My problem is with the mistake bit. I don't see how this can be construed as a mistake on her part. She also has no option but to have removed it from ebay; if anyone won the auction, it's not like Saira is going to make the outfit now.
