Let’s say I wanted to sell something. What would be the best place to go to get teh best price? u know…since gold prices are extremely high and all these days. i mean the first thing that comes to mind are those ghetto pawn shops or jewelery stores in Jackson Heights and..uh..i have a feeling that both will be rip-offs.

I would like to know the answer as well. I am pretty sure that you shouldn't sell it to pawn shops because they won't give you the best price as they mostly buy stolen stuff in cheap price and turn around and sell it expensive to make profit. If you go to an actual jeweler to sell it, they would give you the actual rate (I am assuming) but they may not buy because it's selling higher. I am not sure. You may want to check with a couple of places (pawn vs. jeweler) and then pick the best option.
