Reason for opening this thread is that "If we sell a house or a piece of land and the money which we got in lieu of that if not used for same/similar purpose then we will not be blessed therein. A hadith narrated in Sunan Ibn Majah, Book ‘The Chapters on Pawning’, (classified Da’if Darussalam) is quoted below as reference:
“Whoever sells a house and does not use the money for something similar, will not to be blessed therein".
Furthermore, I came across an article (link provided below) posted on many sites. I would like to request you all to please first read this article and then share your views/knowledge whether it is permissible to use amount for other purposes. :jazak:
