lastnight i talked to a friend about how its so hard to find a guy to get married to (u know the usual stuff one whinges about).. at the same time a guy i knew proposed (over the net) and i without even thinknig bout it i said “no” and i went on complaining bout no guys being around
do we all do this? become deaf and blind when we feel like it?

It's true that most of the time, we do what is called 'selective perception', we only hear what we want to hear... and miss out on most of what others..
:( and top it with me being deaf most of the time, im listening but my mind's somwhere else..
I'm blind and deaf on a regular basis. I think it's a part of being unsatisfied with where your life is right now, and then subconsciously beginning to tune certain things and people out who you feel you can afford to get rid of. I'm a lot like you, I complain about people being fruity, or about the lack of decent guys in the world - but when they come along ... my inability to see/hear kicks in.

hmm thats a first im hearin…my parents would kill if it was on the net…:nono:…but yes i sumtimes moan to my sis and to my mum…what if theres no one left…and i wont find the right guy etc..etc…i have a negative instinct all the time and it does cum out true…

internet proposals only count as 0.1 of the real thing. If these were serious, we'd have 2-3 roman marriages on GS every day. So don't feel bad.
I wish I was as selective. But we all know that all guys are desperate.
