What kind of criteria would you have to select a business partner? Lets say in a small business with investment requirement of £60K and a business that is just two years old , would you be happy to give away equity in the business? if yes , how much? would you look at the other party investing in a fixed contract , like five years, after which you will regain the full financial control of the business and equity , where as they made money while they were on the boat …etc

Hmm much agreed. But lets accept it, trust is hardest to find and even more harder to keep. Coz only experience in a partnership can truly tell whether the partnership was worth it.
But what comes after trust? compatibility? finance? giving equity in business? etc
