i think both india and pakistan have got their selections wrong.one has to say that both teams at the moment don't look like a serious threat for the world cup.i think srilanka is doing better

well it is no surprise sehwag getting droped, but I think tendu could use break as well. He's been out of form for a while now and he deserved to be droped.
Give youngstars a chance, who cares if they win or lose these matches.
what are the consequences of losing the important series, just drop one player and everything is alright?

I am happy that Sehwag , Kaif and Pathan are out. What bothers me is that how come Raina and RP Singh is still in team. Why double standard? Why not bring Nehra or Balaji in place of RP. And in place of Raina give chance to some other youngester. May be Kohli Or Pujara.

I think India got it wrong once again. It is too close to the WC to be making wholesale changes. Sehwag is a world class opener and he should have been retained in the ODI squad. He gives Indian batting an explosive option in the top that is filled with walls and never-perform-in-a-tight-situation type players.

^ yes but we have been waiting for that day since long time. I hope Uthappa get a chance. He is scoring heavily in renji trophy. If only Pathan could have bowled as well as he bowled initially India would have a balanced side. We need an alrounder and there is none presently.

bcci president. Yes he is true alrounder. He manages the agricultural ministry, undisputed head of NCP and also the bcci president and now going to be the icc president ( if money can buy) . We need more people like him.
Ok seriously pawar is like a walking ball. He can swing here and there but not a genuine alrounder.

If he can bat as well as he did previously then thats more than enough. I think he is getting back to groove, he scored a century for bengal against rajasthan. Raina is better comparing to gangu in bowling department. Besides Raina is much better fielder than Gangs.

I think it is official...one billion strong India is not just starved of Olympic Gold medalists and good fast bowlers...but has no budding talent in batting too.
When we have to keep reverting to players like Gambhir and Uttapha ....it means only one thing - there is acute shortage of good batsmen in the country.
I have seen Uthappa bat...he has absolutely no footwork...worse than Sehwag...Gambhir is at best mediocre. To think that these guys could potentially be our openers in the World Cup..
I have followed Indian cricket for 20 years..and this is the first time I notice absolute dearth of good "bastmen" in the domestic circuit.
