As most of you know, eating parathas’ for sehri is very common among desis. But I’m sick of the grease and carbs and opted for something different this year:
1 bowl of High Fiber Cereal with milk
2 eggs with whole grain bread (2 slices)
1 cup yogurt
Is there anything I can add to the list to keep me full? around 11:00 am I start to get a burning sensation in my stomach…not sure what is causing that.
How about you have a baked potato with a filling- tuna/baked beans/chicken masala. Complex carbs burn slower so keep you going longer.Pasta?Roti salaan?
You could add a banana and some yoghurt too.
I had weetabix and two slices of toast, a glass of apple juice and I haven't felt the roza today alhamdulilah.
how about omlet with all the fresh vegetables in it, and toast. A glass of millk as well, but i recommend u have lots of water as well. if not maybe make kachi lassi wit water and milk if u like?
try having sabzis they take longer to digest,eg green peas add a lil olive oil n saute and steam for 15 mins or till cooked add chaat masala n sum salt n pepper 5 mins while they r cooking...
I've heard that it's recommended to eat foods containing protein (beans/lentils/poultry/meat/fish/yogurt/cheese/milk/eggs, etc) for sehri because they are more filling.
Daal/Haleem....I've heard is good for sehri because it fills you up since they are slow to digest. You can eat it with roti so that you get fiber (which is also filling). Fruits/veggies (apples and sweet potatoes, for example) contain fiber and will fill you up as well.
alpen muesli (no sugar) with milk, 1 cup. 1 boiled egg. 1.5 cups tea. one tablet ponstan forte to counter the headache due to caffiene withdrawal and lack of sleep. no tea at iftar. :)

hmmm...haleem or any meat, even chicken in the morning, like chicken kebas, makes u very very thirsty during the day. just the way proteins and oil react i guess. yogurt however is great for making u feel cool
