Segway Scooters, People becoming more lazy

Segway Scooters, the human transporter. I don’t see this as a very good idea for the already overweight population. People are already less active in this day and age due to technology, and now this, a solution to people who are too lazy to walk or use a bike.

I can see how it’ll be useful for people with disabilities, but judging from their website, and the pictures of the Boston Police using them, it’s quite clear who their target market is.

plus idiots may fall off it, as demonstrated by some idiot already, forget who it was..famous guy

^^ :hehe:

Soon the admired sport of Trick Scooting will meet another competitor.

I heard on the news its been pulled from the market - low sales, high price, some accidents.

I rode on a Segway yesterday. Nearly fell off too… everyone was laughing at me :crying:

segway looks crap, and i a waste of money.

They are "recalled" for a software upgrade. Currently, if the battery is low, the Segway cannot maintain its upright position and may fall. The software upgrade will take care of the problem. Three people were, reportedly, slightly injured due to this.
