Many boys and girls are single due to this unislamic custom.

How so? From the people I know, those who aren't particular about segregation still do attend mixed gatherings outside of the segregated ones. I can think of a number of them who are still unmarried, while virtually everyone who do practice segregation are married.

Yeh that does sound wierd. Do u know who decided that's how it was going to be. Or was the hall just seate that way.

From what I have heard the father of the bride arranged it to be that way because he doesn't "trust" his wife. He's a strange man and no one is looking at his old wife! Lol
