Jazakallah Khair brother.

Re: "Seerat Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)"

I want to add that when we say RA as in Radhianllahu it means May allah be pleased with him, it is highly prefered to say may allah bless him and his family as in Ahlehey salam.

On the day of karbala , when he went to face the troops of Yazid la to finish his final jihad against his tyrany and blashpheming of Islam he carried out his Grandfathers Rasooolah saw religion. and gained the upmost , Allah swt accepted his jihad and sahadat!

there is no question or reason on that to say that may allah be pleased with him when it is evident that he is !!

Re: "Seerat Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)"

RA means Allah 'is' pleased withg him.

Re: "Seerat Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)"

^ no it is not according translated in arabic it is ''may''

But suppose if you are right in your translation , why dont we add AS as in ahley hi salam...

but anyways i think we r going off topic now

Re: "Seerat Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)"

So what stand for "may" in Radhiallahu Anhu.

Radhiallah= Allah pleased
Anhu=from him

And yes we can add AS too.

Re: “Seerat Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)”

I am not sure where i read this about the meaning of RA , i did a quick search for you on google

^ bro : An abbreviation for “radi Allahu anhu”; used after the names of the first few generations of Muslims, it means "May God be satisfied with him/her

maybe we should ask some 1 who has more knowledge of arabic

Re: "Seerat Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)"

lets say ''ra'' means ALLAH is pleased with him, then i dunt think we shld be using it for almost every one who accepted islam verbally or pure heartedly at Rasool s.a.w time
I mean r we even sure that ALLAH is pleased with all of them ?
ALLAH wouldnt want two muslims to fight among each other but when Ali a.s and Mavia had about 72 wars, how can we say Allah is pleased with both ?
Its between ALLAH and them let ALLAH decide whom is he pleased with :) rather then us distributing degrees that whom ALLAH is pleased with
And before anybody raises a question i dun think r.a mean ALLAH is pleased with him ... Just difference of opinion

Re: "Seerat Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)"

Salam sister

A.S. is used for the Ambiya a.s., Sunnis dont ascribe that to the family of the Prophet pbuh. No other family was referred in this way from what I know of, by Rasool Allah saw or the Quran.

A.S. is usually what shias ascribe.
