It was not meant to be a gruesoem question, just a reminder to us all that the end in most cases is pretty painful.

I saw my uncle die, he had brain cancer, I saw him the night before in his hospital bed, he was in coma and was breathing heavely, I saw his chest go up and down as he took his lost breaths, sadly we all knew that this was it .. the next day he died in coma.

Yes i saw my mother die. Felt like part of me died with her. Very painful.

I have seen a man dying and that was very painful to see him helpless like that.

He got struck under a TRAM, it was unbelieveable scene because there is hardly a place for even a little dog to get struck under a tram but the poor man was unlucky to somehow get struck there waiting for bulldozers to come to pull the tram up. There were ambulances, fire brigade, hundreds of people but we all had to see him dying helplessly:(

I worked my way through college as an orderly in a hospital. I saw lots of people die. The most horrible was a man named Gaylord G. (can’t use the whole name here). Gaylord had Lung Cancer, and the cancer had metastastisized to his brain. He had a huge growth coming out of his head. The minute you walked into his room, you could smell the cancer coming up out of his lungs. Once you have smelled this you can never mistake it again.

During his last days he developed a type of breathing pattern called Cheyne-Stoking. This is where you take a few breaths, then completely stop, then suddenly resume. This is frequently a symptom that immediately precedes death. I had gotten to know this man well, so the family paid extra, and asked that I stayed past my normal shift and stayed only with him that night. The Cheyne-Stoking is the most is the most nerve wracking thing you have ever experienced. You literally think every breath is his last, and then breathing can restart nearly a minute later. Absolutely horrible. By dawn he actually took his final breath, and never resumed. It was an absolute blessing when he finally died.

Seen lots of people die, including my dad not so long ago Some people say they get used to it but when its a close relative it for sure freaks the hell out of you and leaves you numb for a long time after. And when theres people around wailing, crying and reading out the Quran aloud it hits you even harder.

I also saw people killed at Hajj and had to jump over piles of bodies. Someone later said many could still have been alive and gasping for breathe and us jumping over could have contributed to their demise The whole thing left me numb and spent my coach journey back to Mecca all still, just staring out the window with those faces flashing back and forth. Freaky stuff.

2 years and 11 days ago I held my twin babies as they passed away. They were too little to know what was happening, their lungs were not well developed and slowly theie breathing became shallow, they gasped a few times for air, and slowly faded away. I would not wish having to go thru this experience on my worst enemies.

Yes I have. I saw my cousin's grand father die infront of my eyes. It was so scary. I stood were i was standing even after almost an hour of his death. I was too scared to move.
