1980-1989 redux?
Re: Seems like the ISI is more of the chess master than the pawn
The Irony here is that the ISI is the only force here that seems to be wanting to seriously stop the Taliban… looks like the US are cutting the deal and pegging it from the region leaving us to deal with the Fassadis…
So much for the War on Terror… yet again the Muslim is keeping the freeworld safe while it sleeps. ![]()
Re: Seems like the ISI is more of the chess master than the pawn
Us just want to get out ASAP be it by making deal with talibaan which was unthinkable couple of years ago. Who will be left behind to fight? Pakistan Army.
Re: Seems like the ISI is more of the chess master than the pawn
With all the bravado aside, in the end "Its impossible without the blessing of ISI" PEROID..... US can dance all it wants...

Re: Seems like the ISI is more of the chess master than the pawn
Look at the quality of Pakistani media. An unnamed taliban commander and unnamed US Officials, and its a news for a newspaper like Dawn. And since when Taliban commanders begun hiding their names?
Then this is what is stated in the story:
"It was not clear how senior this commander was and why he agreed to share this information."
What is the point of the story then if nothing from beginning to end is clear except the desperation to write against ISI?
