I have an important decision to make and i have always lacked the decision making power. I won’t say i have regretted my decisions but its very hard for me to come up to them. I am seeking Allah’s guidance on this as its gonna be a very important decision for me and can change my life in any direction.
So i have said my 2 nafls and prayed that Allah give me some indication. Whatelse can i do? pls help.

read salatul istikhara. there is also a certain dua that you read after this salah. keep repeating this salah (i think) daily. Im not sure how long..somebody correct me if im wrong..i think for 7 days.
inshallah Allah SWT will guide you to make the right decision that is good for your deen, duniya and akhira.

b4 everything else, one must conform to the Islamic way of life...one must always strive to become a good practicing Muslim at ALL times and not just when one needs Allah for help. correct?

Zareen, you can pray salat ul hajjat, which is 2 rakaahs nafl with a special dua, and ask Allah for his blessings in that decision. Or you can do an istikhara. But yes, doing your daily faraiz is sometimes substantial enough for Allah's blessings and you don't need to get intop the nafls. InshaAllah, Allah hears a heartfelt dua.

The important thing is that ALLAH will guide only those whom HE wants to guide only, so we should pray that we are included in that list and only HE guides us, not satan
