Seekh kebabs for BBQ

Can I use home made frozen kebabs for BBQing … can I insert wooden skewers in them after thawing them?

When you guys make seekh kebabs for BBQing how do you do it, make them and put them on skewers before taking them to the BBQ site,
or

do you just take the masala wala qeema and put them on the skewers at the BBQ site ?

We usually take the keema to the site and then put it on skewers there. But I don't think there's anything wrong with making the kebabs before you reach the BBQ place - just make sure they're in a cold place so they don't fall apart/lose shape.

Also, using frozen kebabs would be fine...but I think when grilling/BBQ'ing fresh spices/ingredients go a long way taste-wise.
