Re: seekh kabobs

not again!

Re: seekh kabobs

what? :(

Re: seekh kabobs

hehe…I know the reason of ‘not again’ .:hehe:

well ok…here is the recipe AND it is tried n tested so if you still don’t get it right its not my fault.

Minced Meat (lean) 1 Kg
Onion 3/4 Kg
Ginger 3 Tbsp.
Green Chillies 3-4
Green Corriander (fresh) half bunch
Salt 2 tsp. or according to taste
Red Chillies (whole) 3 tsp. coarsely crushed
White Cumin 1 tsp.
Garam Masala 1/2 tsp.
White Bread 1 Slice
Cornmeal or Gram flour 3 Tbsp.

Chop green chillies and Ginger together. now add corriander leaves and chop again. Seperately chop onion.Squeeze all the water out of the onion. Set aside. Soak bread slice in water n then squeeze out the water. Add all spices, bread slice chillies ginger mix to mince n and mix in a chopper. Finally add the onion mix with hands n shape on skewers. While bbq-ing rotate the skewers from time to time so it cooks evenly from all sides. if you keep one side too long on flame the upper raw side which isn’t cooked yet might get lose n kababs might fall off the skewers.
Another important thing: You can use gram flour or corn meal…but i prefer cornmeal as it tastes better…BUT in that case don’t use corn flour ( the white fine flour used as a thickener in sauces etc. …cornmeal is 'makkai ka aata…yellowish coarse flour normally used to cook makkai ki roti…its also used in chapli kababs.

PS…Funguy…should i open another thread for green tea dilemma or you don’t need that anymore.:hehe:

Re: seekh kabobs

in 1 kg minced meat add 1 1/2 tsp salt half tsp crused red chiliies and half tsp powder red chiliies,3/4 tsp garam masala ,corriander seeds crushed 2tbs ,1tsp cumin seeds crushed, chat masala 1tsp,chopped mint and corriander leaves, and 2 small onions chopped, anardana 1 tbs, take 2 full tbs of basin and cook it in a pan ,keep stirring until it gets light brown in colour and add it to the mince.mix all ingrediants very well in the mince meat.mold them in the shape of seekh kababs on a skewers and grill them from all side .
if u are not doing bbq u can make them in home by first fry for few min in a pan and when they half done put them in a baking try and bake them for 25 min from both sides,it will be soft and taste so good.

Re: seekh kabobs

forget to write about ginger, garlicpaste i add 1tbs of each too.
