i saw the prophet (pbuh) in my dream last night. i saw him has a a very skinny man whose bones could be clearly seen whilst reading namaz. he then came up to me, cupped my cheeks in his hands and did dam. after he blew on my face his figure was back to normal and was looking healthy again, but his face changed and looked almost identical to my nani’s (who passed away in 2005). i then started crying and my mum (who was with me, has was my dad and brother) asked me why i was crying and i said “he looks like nani maa”.
wow
after reading i got goosebumps
what a wonderful dream
u could not have seen anybody else but the Prohet (PBUH) in your dream i think.
As far as i know shaitan cannot come as Prophet (PBUH) in your dream so it has to be the Prophet (PBUH). You are very lucky and i think it shows how much you love your nani and how much your nani loves you.
well I saw some thing different.
Stange thing is I did not knew my heart was capable of holding so much respect and love for some one, respect and love I felt at same time. Amazing feeling.
Well first off I am slightly jealous of you if you really did see him (SAW) ... May Allah (SWT) protect you and me from any evil.
Secondly, we have to be careful to say "It was the prophet (SAW)" ... It is 100% true that none can copy the form of RasoolAllah in dreams. If you see Muhammad (SAW) in a dream then you have definitely seen him.
However, how do you know it was him? One needs to know the full description of Muhammad (SAW) as he was 1400 years ago as told by the companions. If one knows what he (SAW) looked like only then can you say with confidence that it WAS him (SAW).
Otherwise there is no standard frame of reference.
A man praying in a dream is not necessarily the prophet (SAW) unless you know what he looked like you can't say for sure.
Please clarify this one point ... then we could hazard a guess at the rest of the dream.
You have to read up on the description and appearance of Muhammad (SAAS). If those matchup it might have been him. If it wasn't then it was satan pretending to be him.
However I do hope that was Muhammad (SAAS) as that is such a great blessing. But it could've just been an angel or another person. That is my thinking. I don't think Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) would change his appearance 3 times in a dream.
First of all think about wat u r saying and who u r talking about and it's not so easy to see Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alyeha wasalam And I don't think it was Prophet Muhammad sallahu Aleyha Wasalam
Unless you are a saint or someone like that.. I do not believe the person you saw was Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). However, our elder say never to question a dream.. but i still have a little doubt in my mind.
But then again, only Allah knows what you saw and if the person u saw really was the holy Prophet (SAW) then i dream to live for that day to be able to see him once in my dream too, if it is ever going to happen.
First of all think about wat u r saying and who u r talking about and it's not so easy to see Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alyeha wasalam And I don't think it was Prophet Muhammad sallahu Aleyha Wasalam
We should refrain from ridiculing others' encounters. Use this hadith as a reference:
[QUOTE]
Volume 9, Book 87, Number 144:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, “When the Day of Resurrection approaches, the dreams of a believer will hardly fail to come true, and a dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of prophet hood, and whatever belongs to prophet hood can never be false.”

i once saw myself pushing forward in a crowd in jerusalem (i definetly remember this as it was near Al Aqsa masjid people were getting all excited n were talking of how the Prophet Muhammed has come) trying to get a glimpse of our holy prophet Muhammed SAW, He (saw) had a white beard and such a beautiful glow like noor all i can say is SubhanAllah n MashAllah thats all i cud see
and then i strted shouting n crying with joy 'I saw our beloved Prophet SAW'
i was actually crying wen i woke up lolz
I beg to differ. Abu Lahab saw Prophet Mohammed in his dreams. You dont have to be a saint.
having said that, its the feeling that you get in your dream that you are seeing the Prophet. You dont need to know how he used to look like. One of a religious scholar (I dont remember the name) was a non-muslim when he saw the prophet in his dreams. He did not know the physical look of the prophet.
That to say he was a skinny man …in the dream .. this kinda gives it away that .. for the Prophet SAW to come ina dream in this form ..cant be understood …
secondly like some one already said No one take the shape of Prophet SAW ..then for Him to look like your nani
but on the plus side .. You would be lucky and fortunate ..to See him …
However most importantly you HAVE to be 100% sure that it was him..
I agree with TLk in a way also .. having the feeling of seeing Him SAW ..is also great .. this this feeling could have only lead from you might have done something Good on that day and at night … you were rewarded ..
We have stumbled across a difference of opinion amongst the scholars. The varied opinions include the feeling that RasoolAllah (SAW) in a dream when his features are not the same as transmitted in hadith is still a valid sighting but requires interpretation. Those who see RasoolAllah (SAW) as per description of transmission have again actually seen him and that is on a greater level because it will require no interpretation at least regarding the form.
If one get's the feeling that it is RasoolAllah during the dream is what is important, not when you wake up after the fact.
If I were to guess the dream of funky_chicken it is about Sunnah or Darood and then your du'as for the bakshish of your Nani ... Wallu'alam.
