Security Foreces Takeover Mingora - Congratulations Everyone !

^ That is why we do not want the army to leave the area even after the 'nuisance' has been taken care of. I wish to see a permanent military presence along our Western borders and some long-term strategy to deal with this extremist menace once the scumbags have been supposedly flushed out of the area. Sure some of these nutcases would go underground and rear their ugly heads later but we could not just sit idly and wait for things to happen. The long-term solution to extremism is ofcourse educating the masses and giving them hope, jobs etc. but I disagree that military operation was not the right call now.

Re: Security Foreces Takeover Mingora - Congratulations Everyone !

But how do you know when the nuisance has been taken care of. According to the sheep for instance, the nuisance has been taken care of in Mingora, so they shouldnt be whining if the militants come back and establish a strong hold in mingora after lets say 6 months.

Ok, so we deploy permanent forces in Swat, which by the way isnt our western border, but does that stop these guerrillas for holding up another city like Swat? That is impossible tactically and you are forgetting what would happen if we just move our army from the eastern border to various hundreds of tiny cities or valleys like Swat. We cant run every single little district on danda ka zor, or we are bound to be labelled a failed state which has no natural write over its territory.

Re: Security Foreces Takeover Mingora - Congratulations Everyone !

these are the words of a top ranking official in the military:
**
“This is what they do. They come out of their hideouts and fire at the troops and then disappear. They cannot fight but still pose a threat to peace of the area,” remarked a military officer, during an informal chat with this correspondent.**

Taliban behead three ‘spies’ in Pacha Killay

How can you even compare FATA with SWAT? Swat is full fledge built-up settled area, just like any other city of Punjab. When a situation comes like Swat, you have to wait n see, until the public perspective turns into Government side. That's what happened here, their was no chances of operation 2 months ago, but the video of flogging & chopping off the head, suicide bombers videos.. come out.

I pray to Allah everyday to keep this momentum for military operation until the every last of Taliban/Terrorists/Extremists is vanished.

For your Information such contoment have already Established in North Wazirastan.
Wrong, They are small supply depots, it takes years to build cantonment area's like we see in Lahore/Karachi/Multan/Quetta ..etc. Anyway their would be no excuse anymore to have permanent security forces in FATA area's, either make it part of NWFP or 5th province but the shyt we did in last 60 years have to turn around.
In the 65 Years of pakistan History who were the Guards of This Borders?, and Why now only you need these borders to be Secured , and by what COST , Making your own people your Enimies??
You have to read the history again, under the Bhutto Administration Pakistan starting to fund and use tribes against Afghanistan as a proxy because of their alliance with India/Russia & hatred against Pakistan.

Tribes never guard borders, everyday 200000 cross the border without any authorization, what kind a security is that? It's high time we get our heads out of sand and smell the wine.

Now US-led NATO forces are in Afghanistan and they will stay their for decades to come, its a strategic decision to clear out FATA area's from insurgents and have full control of state of Pakistan, or someone from outside will take over.

One example why we need permanent security force in every corner of Pakistan is, just like a situation of 9/11 came, the people who know you can ask them, it wasa freaking headache & time of waste to move 150000 forces to western border is less then a week. Logistics & supply routes are very important !

We are going to pay the price for years to come for over shyt policies of Jihadism around the world.

Isn’t the time come for Jammat Islami alike parties, to kick their asses by themselves out of politics for their supporting to Talibans even still ?

Re: Security Foreces Takeover Mingora - Congratulations Everyone !

Let's hope most of them are killed if not then they will probably come back after the army has gone. We need to secure it completley; kill all these scums, root them out!

And we also need to finish these rats off from pak/af border and in waziristan!

By the way what the heck is US/NATO army doing on the other side of the border? In the past 8 years they haven't achieved a flying sh!t......no wonder why we are the one who are paying the price!

Think about it. Just like how they were celebrating their victories so many years ago, the enemies reemerged and are fighting us, and now we seem to be sheepishly celebrating our victories. Maybe 8 years from now we will be wondering what our army was doing back then.

This is the first time, army actually did the real operation, the 2.5 million people came out of their homes, its not bs like before anymore.

Shaheed Soldiers bodies are coming into cities of Pakistan, you don't see TV anymore?? public perspective totally changed, go talk to anyone in Pakistan except idiot's of Jammat Islami, even Imran Khan is supporting the operation

Why you are still living in the state of hibernation, wake up.. !

Re: Security Foreces Takeover Mingora - Congratulations Everyone !

Normally senseless posts should be ignored but are you suggesting NATO/US launched an 'unreal' attack so many years ago lol?

Re: Security Foreces Takeover Mingora - Congratulations Everyone !

^ i am only talking about Malakand division :)

Re: Security Foreces Takeover Mingora - Congratulations Everyone !

good stuff :k:

Spock we understand it is distressing for you to see the unconquerable Taleban being beaten out their strongholds. Please dont let the celebration of the swaties in that video get you down.

You’re not exposing any hitherto unknown truths by saying that this isnt the end and that the rats will mingle with the population and commit random acts of terrorism (funny you dont mind following Altaf bhai’s lead there?). Elimination of a stronghold is something to celebrate in of itself. There is a lot these douchebags can do with control of a town like mingora, not least of which is to make the life of average swaties miserable from a position of authority. They will atleast not be able to do that, Alhamdulillah.

:jhanda:

Re: Security Foreces Takeover Mingora - Congratulations Everyone !

It is a great achievement agreed !

But it's not completley a victory yet (sadly)!

although i believe tht jamat islami has caused a great damage to religious section of our society and has given a bad name to religious people and thts y they have lost their support..but the fact is tht same jamat islami is doing most work for idp rite now..even now people r not willing to believe on govt for relief work..they r looking for jamaat dawah al rasheed trust etc to give their money for idp..y? beac they maintain their records..i have worked with these organisations in 2005 earthquake and certainly these religious organisations did amazing job..

even aaj news nusrat said tht al khidmat is the doing the great job for idp..he even said tht secular section of pakistan who was shouting for action in swat has done nothing for idp..we all know these western funded ngo elite class women like asma or hina wht eva...
kicking away religious parties is insane option..it will create more problems..dialogue,development,education and affection will change things

There is very little hope for Swat.

We have lost this area the way it existed for many decades, as peaceful summer vacation spot.

It will now be a gangsta land where Mullahs will continue playing hide and seek with the government soldiers.

This will not be the first operation that we are seeing right now. There will be many many more.

Why you may ask.

We as a nation have not figured out that gangsta ism is bad even when gangs are formed in the name of our religion.

So Islamists rejoice. You are here to stay in Pakistan and most like you will expand.

Ravage, as a moderator you are not supposed to discuss your beloved Altaf Hussain in threads where he shouldnt be brought in. And now that you are assuming mingora’s won, I dont want any of you, a few months from now crying about how the big bad taliban came back to conquer it yet again. Please go post some anti-war noor jahan videos now, shabash.

This battle may be won, but who says the war is even close from being over? Why are confusing two things just to stroke your ego?

I am not the one celebrating and dancing because the war has been won, go tell this to your lockjaw 'bhai' and the others offering mubarakbaad. Just because the militants fled away and dispersed doesnt mean a war has been won, only mindless sheep would succumb to such stupidity.

Who is celebrating that the war is over? Or is that just you trying to create an argument where there is none? It was projected and feared that the Taliban would make Mingora a graveyard for the army and it would lead to the deaths of many soldiers and civilians. That didn't happen and this is why Pakistanis are happy and right wingers are frustrated and hoping for a taliban come back very soon.

The taliban will try to come back, that is not under debate. They have a huge network across the entire country with safe houses in many madrassas and JI and PTI guest houses and this is just the beginning of the war.

:hehe: In that case, please stop listening to projections and fears from 9-0 please. :rotfl: Khud hi apni problem ki hal daryaft ho gayi.

It was actually projected by defence analysts looking at past actions of the army and taliban (look up Loesam in Bajaur) and military warfare history (Grozny) to come to this conclusion. Even taliban had made this statement before, so it;s far from a 90 prediction, but more like a Immi Khan prediction of the invincible strength of “millions of taliban”.
