I tried adding honey to the tikka masala I made just yesterday. It gives it a great flavor. I’ve seen people add some brown sugar to curries they do as well. On this one show on Masala TV, they showed a Thai recipe where they added brown sugar.

Made chicken tikka masala over spring break about two weeks ago and added about a tablespoon of wildflower honey to it. It does give a pleasant tangy (sweet) taste to it.
