Not only Saleem Malik but both Sadiq Mohammed (Broken Jaw) and Wasim Raja (broken Ankle) batted against WI in Karachi and saved the match. Now that is courage. That was in the mid 70's.

Pakistan team lacks planning and professionalism.

No matter what we do, for one reason or another, we will always remain inconsistent.

I've never seen any team whose players get injured as often as our.

Very disappointing and horrible performance by Pakistan.

So much for those who claim that Akhtar alone can win matches for Pakistan.

I've always said and believed that cricket is a team game. A bowler or a batsman alone cannot win games.

Our bowling may have been decent, but deplorable batting has costed us yet another game.

Its not batting alone, our bowling doesn't have penetration. Only Shoaib is a threat and to some extent Danish (who needs more help from wicket than Shoaib) and in order to win test matches you need more threatening specialist bowlers.

i think that indicated the way our "qaum" was at that time too, the togetherness never say die attitude that seems to be fading now a days, wow broken jaw and broken ankle for another, wow these kids have to learn!

Two sick/injured players on crease :smack:

true that. but sorry to say I have no such expectations from this squad.

Btw... batting counts a lot in test matches. The batting has to be very solid in order to get somewhere.

Not really, both batting and bowling have to be solid otherwise you either become India (batting) or pre-2003 Pakistan (bowling)

Can these sick/injured players get runners? I don't see our survival for long without runners.

A massive six by Malik. :k:

111/7

a 4 from Razzaq?

Kasprowicz to Abdul Razzaq, FOUR, short outside off, cut away behind point

Cricinfo showing a 4 from Shoaib towards long on boundary.

49.6 Warne to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, bang! charges down the track to loft
over the long on fence

CRICINFO commentator needs glasses… bhai it was a six
