Second Test-- Pakistan vs Australia at MCG

man the video is not working for me :S

Kindly post your video related comments in other thread. Stick to the match in this one.

Very elegent cut from Youhana to bring Pakistan 100.
Still to come, Shoaib Malik, Abdul Razzaq and Kamran Akmal for Pakistani batting.
Pakistan should target atleast 300 in the first inning.

As a result of Inzimam's withdrawal, Pakistan went into the match with a negative mindset, including Malik for a bowler. Hopefully it doesnt backfire and even after a good first innings score, we struggle to take wickets.

Good running between the wickets from Youhana and Younis Khan.
Younis khan breaks his bat in process.

I disagree, Pakistan have come out with the right mindset and have attacked from ball 1.
Obviously when a team loses 3 quick wicket, the run rate will slow down.
I think both batsman are doing a good job of taking singles.

I am not talking about Their approach while batting. I am talking about team selection.

A great SIX by Yousuf Youhana off Shane Warne.

I think the team selection is justifiable. Yasir Hameed coming in for Inzi and Malik replacing M Khalil. The pitch is good for batting, so Malik was the right decision for replacement.
Asim Kamal could have come in for Hameed, but he hasn't had alot of games under his belt.

A gorgeous Six by Youhana off Warne. Good to see :k:

Pitch is good for batting, thats why we need more bowlers to dismiss this australian batting line up. Anyways hopefully Malik and Razzaq will not disappoint.

Thats the problem, if they play Khalil or another specialist bowler, they would be one batsman short. Since Pakistan's weakness is batting, I thought it was wise to bring in Malik instead of a specialist bowler. And Malik can be handy with his offspin.

Warnie getting some good turn. It should be good news for Kaneria.

Four By Younis

I don't agree, Pakistani bowlers couldn't even take wickets on bowling wickets. We have to know who we are playing with. Batsmen have to stay on wicket as long as they could.

Great shot by Younis Khan played off his back foot.

Same goes for Warne, he hardly takes wickets with his turning deliveries anymore. Kaneria was turing a little bit in Perth.

ahan?? who had australia reeling at 78-5 on a perth pitch and only let them get away because of lack of quality after Shoaib and Sami?

at the end Razzler will be the escape goat, if Actor can't bowl more than 4 overs, and incase Sami gets hammered. Keneria and Razzler will bowl their hearts out to fill the day's game somehow. I don't think Malik will be any useful against Aussies. I hope he proves me wrong. Malik for batting is a good idea, specially when Inzi sat out. Wese I would give Asim a chance, since Yasir was not much in form lately, so its a 50/50 for both of them. So why not try a batsman with better technique.
