With the assumption that Kaneria is our first choice spinner, who is the second spinner. On and off, there are situations when we need 2 spinners in the test squad. Same is true for ODIs.
Haven’t seen a new face for a while. Saqi and Mush are probably history now. M. Hafeez may not be that effective in tests. Who else can be a good candidate. The other day, I heard Sheharyar on PTV (in Quaid-e-Azam trophy final) and he made a statement that though this guy is 30/32 years of age but he is on the verge of making a comeback in international cricket. He was talking about the off spinner M. Arshad.

i think he was talking about arshad khan...but i heard saqi is going to be back for the india series he's apparently done with all his surgeries and is goona start playing soon

Thanks for the correction. Yes, he was talking about Arshad Khan. M. Arshad is some other gentleman who is not even related to cricket who was on my mind while I was writing those lines :)
I've heard that Saqlain is on crutches. Of course, he will improve and will hopefully get fit enough to play cricket but I have some doubts if he is ever gonna make a comeback. He was the best off spinner that Pakistan produced.
