Re: Seattle, WA

In Seattle, it rains during the winter time .. we are almost out of that season now .. there is plenty to in Seattle, and I really mean plenty ...

if you are an outdoor person, there is hiking, paragliding, skiing, biking, boating .. you can got to Mount Rainier National Park, or visit Mount Baker, Mount St Helen, Mount Hood ... all are some of the tallest volcanoes on mainland USA.

There is mazing amount of culture in Downtown Seattle. You can visit Japanese tea houses, some of the finest sea food restaurants, best coffee houses in the country ..

there are museums .. plenty of them

Cruises .. Seattle port is one the biggest Cruise port for all major travel cruises, you can go on a month long to 24 hours long cruise ..

Vancouver and BC is only 90 miles and you can take a small plane to many of the BC islands and even book a six seater plane for one day picnic where they will serve you freshly catch salmon for lunch.

Re: Seattle, WA

Thank you TLK.

There's many nice places to eat, yes even halal food is available in abundance! Downtown is fun. The Space Needle complex has many activities, there's a 90 min bus/boat ride that shows you around and you get to see the first Nordstroms, Eddie Bauer hqs, the first Starbucks, Lake Washington, Lake Union that houses hundred of houseboats priced up to a couple of million$$. Beautiful sceneries of the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. You can even visit the great volcanoes. It's lush green and very moderate in climate during May through Sept... usually 75F-80F.

Re: Seattle, WA

I guess speding time Seattle is my backup, that is if I plan not to go on a 7-day cruise to Alaska. 7-days is a bit too much, isn't it?

Re: Seattle, WA

^^ a colleague of mine went on that cruise and he loved every single minute of it. 7 days should be just enough

Re: Seattle, WA

you are sorry that I am joking :konfused:

Every thing TLK said plus there is Rain Forests that you can visit one in Edmonds and one in Meadowdale area near Lynnwood these are not as dense as the ones you find on the Olympic penninsula..........
Also the Ballard Locks have observation area where you can see through glass windows; Salmon swimming upstream during their migration i.e. June July and August!

So TLK, where is it in the Puget Sound area do you call home?

Sidra -- what do you like to do when you visit a place? There's lots to do around here, but give us a clue..are you an outdoorsy person? Foodie? Art? Museums? Sailing? etc. etc.
