Do you request for a particular seat on an aeroplane at the time of check-in or do you not mind where you are seated?
I have to have a window seat…otherwise my journey is incomplete

Re: Seat Preference
i don't mind...but i prefer window seats :)
Re: Seat Preference
^ so you don't mind sitting in the four seats in the centre of the plane, people squashing you like a million time whilst getting out of the seat to go to the toilet :D
Re: Seat Preference
I usually ask for a window seat and most of the times I get it too. However if the flight is heavily booked, window seats get filled up very quickly, in which case I go for an Aisle seat.
The only time I do take a seat in the middle is, when I'm travelling with family or someone I know.
Re: Seat Preference
i always try to get an aisle seat to get easier access to the 'lavatory'/to stretch. i have had my share of the window seat but now its convenience over whats outside..i think i will probably try to get a window seat if i travel to some place new/exotic but that will depend since if i am travelling alone or with my wife cause my wife likesss the window seat.
Re: Seat Preference
I don't really mind as long as I dont end up sitting next to an annoying uncle ji. Coz last time i went to Pak. this uncle literally took my interview he was asking silly questions like- beta aap ne law kiu li? us main to bohot saal lagtay hain? yeh aap ke parents hain saath main? aap ki age kitni hai? aap pak. shadi karoo gi ya England main? Aap ka naam kia hai? Yeh mera beta hai he studies in Lodon bla bla bla. Uncle ji ne aisa interview liya jaisa maine apni zindagi main kisi ko na diya ho
Re: Seat Preference
^ :D I feel reluctant to start any conversation with the stranger sat next to me on a flight just in case they're not interested.

lol, i dont mind when ppl. talk to me. It's just a bit weird when the other person gets angry at u for taking a certain course and not when u didnt take "medicine instead of law". Coz the uncle was like beta to is ka matlub aap ki shadi to phir studies ke baad ji hogi, i was thinking zahir hai. For the whole 3 hours he kept on going on an on about marriage.AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Re: Seat Preference
unkle ji ko aap ki fikar kuch zayada hi lagne lagi thi. Maybe he chose you for his son or something.... :D
Re: Seat Preference
first preference is to have a seat towards the front of the plane or at the very back. next, i prefer a window seat or an aisle seat.
Re: Seat Preference
Always window so I can lean my head against it. I don't like any other seat, especially not the aisle cuz people unknowingly touch you while going to and from the lavatory.
Re: Seat Preference
although aisle seats are not comfortable, but i always prefer to have an aisle seat rather than any other ones because i feel claustrophobic with the window seats....
i just don't like air traveling,no matter where my seat is....:(

i don't really mind..cuz usually i travel with my family..who fill up the whole row! lol and besides, nobody squashes me and i don't get up much anyways :D lol, but i do prefer window seats though..even though i can manage a middle seat..

I prefer that too, but can't be bothered to explain so just ask for window seat.
Re: Seat Preference
I used to like Window seat, but the problem is that the design of most fuselage's in the airplanes is that the window seat has less legroom as the wall is turning in. So, now, if I am travelling coach, I always prefer aisle seat. The other advantage of aisle seat is that you don't have to bother anyone when you want to get out of your seat. In business class, it ususally doesn't matter if you get an aisle or a window (there is no middle). Because there is enough leg room and getting out of a seat is not a problem.
My other preference is, to always get a seat on the back rows of the plane. It gives several advantages. First, it gives you a lower group # and you are likely to board earlier. This helps make sure that you are able to find over-head space to put your bag in. The higher the group number, the later you board and the chances of finding overhead space diminish (and you may end up checking in your carry on). The other advantage is that there is a better chance of finding an empty middle seat next to your seat. Middle seats are filled from forward to back. So if you get a back-row aisle, you can end up lucky with no middle seat and that allows you to stretch your stuff on the middle row tray etc. Not to mention more elbow room.
Re: Seat Preference
^ you also get to leave the plane before others too?
Re: Seat Preference
Leaving the 'plane early or late is usually not an issue for me. If I have luggage checked in, then a few minutes extra it takes to de-board the plane, won't make any difference. And in most cases, either I have to rent a car at the airport or just get into my own car parked at the airport, so a few minutes here or there won't matter. In any event, the advantages of sitting on the back far outweigh the few extra minutes it takes to wait to deboard at your destination.
Re: Seat Preference
Why I prefer the aisle seat.
Re: Seat Preference
:)** I like the Pilot’s Seat…otherwise the journey ain’t complete…:D**
