Searching Lailat-al-Qadr

Brother HHL’s post brought this question to my mind.

As people in different countries are fasting on a difference of plus minus one or the same day as in Saudi Arab, would we decide “Taak Raatein” (odd nights) on the basis of any standard day or respectively in our own country ( Which might be wrong)

Like there might be even nights going in one country and at the same time odd nights in another country.

In short, is Lailat-al-Qadr different for different places or it comes on the same series of night ( considering the differences in timings among different countries)

Kindly also share some authentic sources and logical reasonings / conclusions along with your views.

Thanks.

Re: Searching Lailat-al-Qadr

ok, i am no expert at this but i need to ask.... is the laylatl qadr in saudi somehow the benchmark of when the real laylatul qadr is???? i mean new zealand is the first country on the globe to start a new day/ date....

we follow the calculation system... so we know when and where the moon will come out, and whether or not it will be visible...

today is the 18th raza in sydney... so inshallah 21st will be on tuesday night.... please pray that my sleep requirements diminsih (i need a lot of sleep to operate normally), and that i am able to do as much ibadat as possible.

Wassalam
