Free online screen recorder for instant screen capture video sharing.
So I’ve been trying to figure out how to record some tutorials on using certain apps on my laptop for a friend. I know I could do a video recording on my phone, etc, or use some screen recording app. And today, my daughter showed me Screencast-O-Matic.
So you go on their website, enable your mic, and simply start recording. You may need to install java or enable some applets (depending on your OS), but once all that is in order, it gives you a recording zone so to speak. Then you exit out of your browser and start recording whatever you have to. The free version lets you do 15 mins of recording at a time and when you’re done, you can publish the video on their website or on YouTube.
I’m sure there’s a whole bunch of other ways of doing this but I found this fairly easy. Thought I’d share.
yep - use it all the time when I don't have access to my regular screen recording software (Camtasia Studio), and when I need a quick screencast without too much hassle.
Did you think someone took a video camera and made a video of the person on the computer? I did too. In fact some YouTube tutorials ARE like that. Camera prints.

Yea, some are like that but no no I didn't think that. But I thought the video of the screen and audio were added together on another software didn't know the same software/app could do it. Which makes better sense now that I think about it.
