Even by sub-continental standards Sri Lankan umpires (from early-mid 80s) were some of the worst umpires that I have ever seen in international cricket - very biased and incompetent. The ball only had to touch the pads and the finger w'd go up. It almost felt like playing against 13 men instead of 11. Imran Khan certainly made them aware of that
