One-day international, The Grange: Scotland v Pakistan
Match starts 1045 BST Tuesday and is live on BBC Radio Scotland (810MW) and this website
Scotland play their first one-day international for seven years when Pakistan visit The Grange in Edinburgh on Tuesday for a tour match.
But the Scots must do without Dougie Brown and Navdeep Poonia who have not been released from Warwickshire’s Twenty20 Cup clash at Northants.
And the Scottish Saltires’ overseas pair Corey Richards and Ian Moran are not eligible for the one-dayer.
All 3200 tickets have been sold, with Pakistan set to field a strong team.
Shoaib Akhtar is missing from the Pakistan squad through injury and fellow pace bowler Rana Naved-ul-Hasan will not be risked in Edinburgh.
Pakistan begin a four-Test series with England at Lord’s on 13 July and will also play a Twenty20 match and five one-day internationals.
Yorkshire’s John Blain and Durham’s Kyle Coetzer replace Richards and Moran from the Saltires squad that lost to Leicestershire by 53 runs at the weekend.
Despite the defeat, Gavin Hamilton warmed up with a superb 131 off 128 balls, while Neil MacRae (36) and Neil McCallum (53) also made claims to face Pakistan.
Scotland were beaten by 94 runs when they took on Pakistan in the 1999 World Cup, which were also classed as ODIs.
