Scores of yank terrorists killed by Shia freedom figthers in Iraq

About time Shias wake up instead of relying on Sunnis. Yanks are screwed no matter how you cut the cake, they will run but only with media spin. If Shias come on line a little faster they can certainly speedup the process. Better late then never…

I thought only sunnis showred flowers and welcomed gals with open arms… Shias now want to do the same…

7 U.S. Troops Killed in Baghdad Fighting

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Seven U.S. soldiers were killed Sunday in fighting with Shiite militiamen in the Baghdad neighborhood of Sadr City, the U.S. military said. At least 24 other American troops were wounded, the military said in a written statement.

Elsewhere Sunday, supporters of an anti-U.S. Shiite Muslim cleric waged violent demonstrations in four Iraqi cities, punctuated by a gun battle at the Spanish garrison near this Shiite holy city that killed at least 20 people, including two coalition soldiers — an American and a Salvadoran.

The U.S. military also reported two Marines were killed in a separate “enemy action” in Anbar province.

The military said the fighting in Baghdad erupted after members of a militia loyal to radical Shiite Muslim cleric Muqtada al-Sadr took control of police stations and government buildings in Sadr City, a poor neighborhood of mainly Shiites on the eastern outskirts of the capital.

“Coalition forces and Iraqi security forces prevented this effort and reestablished security in Baghdad at the cost of seven U.S. soldiers killed and more than two dozen wounded,” the military statement said. It said militiamen attacked the soldiers with small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades.

Sadr City is a stronghold of al-Sadr supporters. The fighting Sunday came hours after his followers attacked a coalition garrison in the southern holy city of Najaf. Two coalition soldiers and at least 20 Iraqis were killed in that fighting.

Protesters also clashed with Italian and British forces in other cities in a broad, violent challenge to the U.S.-led coalition, raising questions about its ability to stabilize Iraq (news - web sites) ahead of a scheduled June 30 handover of power to Iraqis.

With less than three months left before then, the U.S. occupation administrator appointed an Iraqi defense minister and chief of national intelligence.

“These organizations will give Iraqis the means to defend their country against terrorists and insurgents,” L. Paul Bremer said at a press conference.

About three miles outside Najaf, supporters of anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr opened fire on the Spanish garrison during a street protest that drew about 5,000 people. The protesters were angry over the arrest of the cleric’s aide, said the Spanish Defense Ministry in Madrid.

The attackers opened fire at about noon, said Cmdr. Carlos Herradon, a spokesman for the Spanish headquarters in nearby Diwaniyah.

The Spanish and Salvadoran soldiers inside the garrison fired back, and assailants later regrouped in three clusters outside the base as the shooting continued for several hours.

Two soldiers — a Salvadoran and an American — died and nine other soldiers were wounded, the Spanish defense ministry said. No other details were available.

More than 200 people were wounded, said Falah Mohammed, director of the Najaf health department. El Salvador (news - web sites)'s defense minister said several Salvadoran soldiers were wounded.

The death toll of at least 20 included two Iraqi soldiers who were inside the Spanish base, witnesses said.

Spain has 1,300 troops stationed in Iraq, and the Central American contingent is of a similar size. The Salvadorans are under Spanish command as part of an international brigade that includes troops from Central America.

Multiple train bombings in Madrid last month that killed 191 people have been blamed on al-Qaida-linked terrorists, who said they were punishing Spain for its alliance with the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan (news - web sites).

Spain’s new government, elected just days after the March 11 train bombings, has promised to make good on its pre-election promise to withdraw all Spanish troops from Iraq unless command for peacekeeping is turned over to the United Nations (news - web sites).

In El Salvador, the defense minister said the attack will not alter his country’s role in reconstruction efforts.

That's 11 US/coalition soldiers killed today, dozens more injured mostly by the Shia resistance fighters today, after the foreign terrorists kill scores of protestors.

The Shia have finally risen against the American occupiers!

Re: Re: Scores of yank terrorists killed by Shia freedom figthers in Iraq

Just saw on BBC news, One of the shia leader said the time has come! enough is enough… He said he is opening a new front other shia groups said they will join in. :k:

Just wait for the spin masters and their spin… I’d say run run run your spin is good for home consumption, no one cares how and what you spin…

Pass it over to the UN, violence will continue against them as well, international troops leave, civil war irrupts. I think that's a solid plan that should be enacted.

Many iraqis have been killed also this occupation is a complete disaster.

Amerikkka did not cross the seas and land to get to iraq for nothing as one iraqi said, they here for long stay so the only way to get them out is one way and one way only!

US is not big enough to handle the join wrath of shias+sunnis… Henry Kesinger was smart when he said “lets declare victory and get the hell out” This was when VietCong was making love to the gals… Every now and then I hear about ‘Iraqification’

Shia leader speaks.

“Terrorise your enemy, as we cannot remain silent over its violations,”

“Sheikh Moqtada Sadr is our leader. He’s going to lead Iraq. Today we fought the occupation troops and we will keep fighting them until we take over,” said 23-year-old Mohammad Hanoun, a protester wielding a chain in Baghdad.

With nearly a dozen US/coalition soldiers killed in the last day or so, and dozens more injured, the wrath of the Shias has finally hit the occupiers hard. They will be begging for the UN or others to take over asap...

10 dead so far

The other day one yanki here stated that we should go after the Sunnis of Fajjullah because they are the last bone, lol, you people have seen Sunni “terrorism”, may God protect you from Shia “terrorism”, they are ten time worst when it comes to getting even, they are some emotional son of the guns.

I feel sorry for these 18 year old American kids, the other day on CNN a solider reported that 24 have so far committed suicide, and 7 more came and did the same. He quit the army for the very reasons because they don't understand what the war is about. Now all over America people are humiliating the cow boy, and his Condal Mondal Rice, Powell came on TV and said there might have been a "mistake". Can these people be brought to the international court and tried? These kids are not serving their country rather serving some 100 year old greedy men some where in the US living on oxygen tanks till this day. The parents of these soldiers have every right to take action against the current Administration. The entire nation of America should hunt these pigs down since they used their emotions and moral to do their dirt across the world. This had nothing to do with Sep.11 and nothing to do with WMD which we all know by now.

Some of the worst crimes or in fact all the worst crimes in human history have been committed by the “CIVILIZED”.

Hallelujah, does this “spin” coincide with my caption right at the top…

AP Enterprise: Coalition press office packed with Bush, GOP loyalists intent on putting a positive election-year spin on Iraq
April 4, 2004, 1:54 PM

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) – Inside the marble-floored palace hall that serves as the press office of the U.S.-led coalition, Republican Party operatives lead a team of Americans who promote mostly good news about Iraq.

One of the main goals of the Office of Strategic Communications – known as stratcom – is to ensure Americans see the positive side of the Bush administration’s invasion, occupation and reconstruction of Iraq, ** where 600 U.S. soldiers have died and a deadly insurgency thrives. **

That article is one day too old now. It's now 613 US soldiers killed, as the all-Iraqi insurgency thrives.

Did you know that no less than 162 US/Coalition soldiers have been killed since Saddam was captured just a few months ago, and after the American's were predicting the resistance would end?

America also predicted that Osama and Al-Zazoo guy is in Pakistan. They also said Osama had a link with Saddam, they also said there were WMD.

When will people open their eyes and learn?

Shia resistance is spreading…

British troops clash with Iraqi demonstrators

British troops have clashed in Amara with Iraqis protesting against the arrest of a the aide to a radical Shi’ite cleric and the closure of a newspaper, the Ministry of Defence says. “UK troops with coalition allies had to respond to a demonstration that degenerated into civil disorder”, a military spokeswoman said on Sunday. There were no reports of any casualties among British soldiers during the clashes in the southeastern Iraqi town. The demonstration by the Iraqis was against the arrest of Mustapha Yacoubi, an aide to a radical Shi’ite cleric, and last week’s closure of a U.S. authorities of a militant Baghdad newspaper, the spokeswoman said.

There have been similar demonstrations in Iraq on Sunday. At a military base at Kufa, near Najaf, Spanish-led troops and Iraqi police fought a three-hour gun battle with Iraqi Shi’ite militiamen leaving at least 20 people dead and some 200 wounded.

Marines have started their offensive against Fallujah. This al sadr idiot will be next.

Sure. Arrest Al Sadr and by then the number of American troops killed since the war ended would reach 1000. Not to mention they have find another excuse for delaying the handing of power to the Iraqis.

An Iraqi friend (he is Shia) told me today that there is competition between Sunnis and Shias in Iraq as to who will kill more infidels. (this is serious) . So after what happened in Fajullah, the Shias had to make a stand.

And there are no soliders of Allah, they are all soliders of Iraq.

Was there such a competition when Saddu was incharge? I reckon he killed a few hundred thousands Shias. And when the Americans leave, Shias are going to settle the score. Honestly, my (Shia friend told me that).

Stick to the topic of this thread.

7 marines a day will keep the occupiers away...

What was the Amerikkkans statement few months ago oh this is the last few of saddams loyalists now what they saying this is shia minority tommorow they will say these other people fighting them are saddam long lost cousins!

Everyone knows iraqis can't wait to get rid of the Globocops Amerikkka!

And they only way they will leave is by force!

Falluja: ‘American graveyard’ says Iraqis

Remember anaconda in the mountains of Afghanistan… Talibs captured one of the escaping gal and killed the slut right on the spot. Pussies decided to take revenge of course from behind NA and send in whole brigade. Drug pushers had already alerted Talibs, Talibs were waiting, they killed 7 more and shot down two choppers. Yanks came back home and declared mission SUCKcess :hehe:

Stay tuned, they will lose more gals, kill innocent civilians and declare another SUCKsess.

Looking on as a crowd of cheering Iraqis desecrated the bodies of four civilians killed by insurgents, 12-year-old Mohammad Nafik said: “This is the fate of all Americans who come to Falluja.”

“Falluja is a cemetery for Americans”, militants warn
The town has gained a reputation, particularly in recent weeks, as being one of the most violently opposed to the occupation.

US troops have faced almost daily attacks there, and the recent killing and mutilation of four American civilian contractors - surrounded by a jubilant crowd - marked a new level of violence towards those who represent, or work for, the coalition.

Falluja is in a region that has become known as the “Sunni triangle” - a predominantly Sunni Muslim area in a country with a Shia majority.

The region also incorporates Saddam Hussein’s hometown, Tikrit.

As well as being united by religion, there are also important tribal links, and it was from this region that Saddam Hussein (himself a Sunni Muslim - notionally at least) recruited his powerbase of support.

That goes some way towards explaining the anti-coalition hostility in the region.

Revenge

After the invasion, the perks of being looked after by Saddam Hussein disappeared, and the confidence which came from being a powerful minority was replaced by the uncertainty of being simply a minority.

In Falluja itself there is a particularly deep-seated enmity towards the Americans.

Falluja anger on the rise
Two weeks after the invasion was complete, angry crowds gathered outside a makeshift American barracks in Falluja and shots were fired.

The US troops fired on the crowd and at least 15 Iraqis were killed.

The incident served as a flashpoint, igniting a series of attacks against coalition forces across the region.

Some of the attacks in Falluja since - or at least the support for them - can be attributed to a desire to take revenge for a friend or relative killed by coalition forces.

The US troops who have been responsible for security in the region have had an unenviable task

The Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, which had responsibility for Falluja until mid-March, had increasingly left responsibility for patrolling the town centre to Iraqi police, and made only occasional forays into Falluja.

But US Marines have now taken over and adopted a much more high-profile approach to tackling the insurgents.

They have conducted raids on various parts of the town looking for weapons, and had frequent running battles with guerrillas.

Crossfire

Although several Marines have been killed, the Iraqi casualty figure has been much higher.

Some 30 are thought to have been killed in the last two weeks of March alone.

Many were simply caught in crossfire, and inevitably, that continues to fuel the tensions.

It seems likely that the Marines decided not to intervene in the grisly violence in Falluja on 31 March simply because the contractors were already dead, and entering the town risked making a bad situation even worse.

But the US administrator in Iraq, Paul Bremer, has said “the attacks will not go unpunished”.

Further clashes seem inevitable, not least because the Americans cannot afford to have Falluja seen as a no-go area, successfully challenging their authority.
