Scientists discover what happens to your brain when you fall in love

Its not the infatuation with choclates or desire to have roses delivered. Its all about dopamine baby (in right caudate nucleus and right ventral tegmental areadopamine).

How the brain reacts to romance

Scientists say they have discovered what happens in the brain when someone falls in love.

They studied chemical reactions in men and women who were all in the early stages of relationships.

Research, published by the Society for Neuroscience, found activity in areas of the brain which are linked to energy and elation.

But scans found women’s brains showed emotional responses, while men’s showed activity linked to sexual arousal.

Researchers took functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scans of the brains of 17 young men and women to see what was happening in the brain of someone in love.

They were alternately shown a photo of someone they loved and one of someone they knew, but were emotionally neutral towards.

In between, they were given a task to distract them from their emotional responses to the photos.

They found that feelings of intensive romantic love were linked to activity in the right caudate nucleus and right ventral tegmental areadopamine, which have high levels of dopamine activity.

Dopamine is a brain chemical which produces feelings of satisfaction and pleasure

and they had to conduct a study to find that??

These researches and studies can not be true across the world!
Frame of mind and temper does vary homeland wise and climate wise.

Natives living on ice have diverse temperament than living in desert…
The factors may which have an effect on different head also comprise the diet we take and its reaction on brain and body do affect differently … Community eating meat have different temperament than those who use vegetables… e.g. compare Hindus who use vegetable only with Arab temperament who usually use Lamb meat which has more cholesterol and is good to build a high bp!

Secondly, the family ties do alter different people’s behavior in any society…
Compare an American Teen age who has not so tight family bindings to an Asian teen age! You will see the difference!

So my point is we can not generalize these results to all humans, on the basis of observation of only few people of same group. Result will vary location (climate) wise and nation wise!

I believe love can be generated for anyone at will. e.g. mothers who love their children even if they are ugly and spouces loving each other after marriage. Hence proving that all this brain activity is will dependant also. As for romance we come across people who are compatible to us, people who are very good looking and then people who have both qualities. We "fall in love" with certain individuals after we have spent some time with them (there's always exceptions). At first we think of the other deliberately, may it be because of good looks or their humour. After a while these deliberate thoughts become sort of a habit and you don't have to think about it. Hence there phrase "jidhar daikhta hoon, udhar thoo hee thoo hai", comes into play.
Ofcourse that's all my belief, others may agree.

It’s not my brain that I will worry about when I finally fall in love . . . :rotfl:

sabi....

u r right... but i think it was discovered 7 or 8 years back....

?.. pakistan zindabad sabi is not talking bout natural behaviuour of mankind as u've discussed...

i think sabi is talking bout love....

no matter wat place the hormones secreted from thr brain are the same!!
