Dear Ahmadjee. I have not said argument goes both ways, I have concluded that it is a scam ( just like others have done so too) and also given information that they are some 300 links on this subject on the net( ** and even If ,** sorry I had failed to add this before) all of them says otherwise it means nothing when you evaluate the facts for yourself.

Let me detail this facts for you again

1) the cloth is only 700 years old as such it cannot possibly be used by a man buried 2000 years ago.

2) the size of this cloth is 14 feet, thus it was used on a man some 13 feet tall, so kindly verify how many man that size has been walking this planet in the past 2000 years

This two facts are more then enough for anyone who is willing to use their common sense to evaluate the facts for themselves. .

Though, the fact remains, if the scientists do a DNA test on the body in the tomb at Kashmir and find it identical to the DNA found on the shroud, it proves the shroud to be authentic and the tomb in Kashmir to be of Jesus (as).

And therefore, I support to let the scientist do their work ... so the truth comes out!

Ibrahim says: Ahmadjee, I do not recall saying anything about preventing anyone from doing whatever test they want to do. All I have shown in this thread is that this shroud is a scam relic like many other relics in catholic Christianity and other faiths which are used to generate traffic and money.

Having said that. I want you to use your wisdom and explain to us the following

1) If a body is still in its grave, how does the cloth that was used to cover it, is found outside its grave?

2) If the body is in Kashmir, how does the shroud that was used in that county appear in Turin?

3) Is the Kashmir grave some 14 feet in length?

4) Do you know the Jews consider used burial cloths as unclean ( every normal human being would also do so in these days) and would NEVER keep them?

Regards
Ibrahim

since the topic has lost its focus from tomb to shroud, i feel it necessary to open up another thread on this specific topic..

I dont get it -- why India? nazareth and the area nearby is in today's arab-persian area, isn't it? So where did they get the whole idea of jesus being buried in India from? I mean, the crucifixion was done by the Jews under the roman empire, so wouldn't records be available on the hanging? Umm...and didn't the roman empire not spread to India?

The Roman Empire probabaly had trading routes that extended as far as Central Asia, but they never directly controled India. Jesus might have come to India because the Romans hadn't hadn't gotten there.
