So I was talking with a few friends and we were discussing how people in Pakistan only appreciates being a Doctor or Engineer when it comes to the science field .. People really dont give the same sort of respect to other branches of Sciene for instance pharmaceutical science, if u are researcher or something else .. If you tell someone you are a doctor .. its “wow” .. if you tell the person you are a biologist or a pharmacist or u have master in some research field .. its not the “wow” respond .. How come? After all its not “easier” to become a biologist or phrmacist or a researcher compared to doc.

I totally agree with you. Unfortunately even in the 21st century living here in the USA I still see it all the time. Personally, however, I have seen that educated and sophisticated people WILL appreciate other branches of science as well. The jaahil close minded ones are the people that grew up with the backward mentality of "doctor" or "engineer". I am in med school myself and I have learned all the different fields of science/technology. The more you are exposed to these fields, the better your understanding.
