Re: Science VS Spirituality
I guess science denies the supernatural ... If it cannot be seen or measured it is not there... So science will churn out the result that it is hoax, or self-delusion.
Spirituality on the other hand has a place for the supernatural world ... It is the reality of being.
Scientists who choose to follow the argument if it cannot be measured it is not there are drawing a conclusion based on available techniques, which means the situation could change. When it does change they attribute the phenomenon to the "asbab" the means rather than the Source.
Re: Science VS Spirituality
psyah has pretty much said what we can conclude about science and spirituality on this subject. But I also think that science does sometimes touch upon supernatural by rationalizing it through some sort of scientific theory. I said this because I believe time travel is a supernatural concept too and so is metaphysics. :halo:
Re: Science VS Spirituality
science is what explains the world we live in. spirituality is the connection of oneself with everything else. supernatural = something doesn’t obey natural laws of the world. all three are different things.
science is rigorous, you can’t pass off random statements as science. spirituality is fairly lax in rigor, one can feel spiritual from watching a leaf fall in the wind, or a televangelist describe the terrors of hell. supernatural beings by definition are beyond science. santa, gods, chthulhu, casper, dracula etc are supernatural.
hope that helps, lkk pal. ![]()
