The universe was created in a Big Bang 13.7 billion years ago, is still expanding today, and billions of years from now it might recollapse by its own gravity with a Big Crunch (or continue expanding forever, Big Chill). Moslems say that this is what Allah says. The Quran says that on the first day of creation, God made the heavens and the Earth meshed together, tight and compact (Big Bang), continues to expand it into the universe we know today and at the last day God will recompress it into its original state (Big Crunch). About the first day (Big Bang), Allah says:
Cosmologists just confirmed the existence of “Dark Energy”, a mysterious repulsive force that acts in opposite to gravity. As the distance increases, the attractive gravitational force decreases but this mysterious repulsive force increases. This repulsive force is pushing galaxies apart; the greater the distance the greater the repulsion. Scientists today do not know what this “Dark Energy” is, but they know that it is causing the entire universe to expand at an increasing rate.
this explains the mad rush of scientists to islam then.
oh vait, no. their harts be sealed evil and stuff.
Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment.

This argument would be much credible if someone had explained Big Bang through Quran, before the big bang was theorized by the scientists. Trying to do it now is now just playing with words.

Or you can appreciate, like Mandelbrot Set you keep expanding on qurans language, and quran language accommodate many thing in universe.
And keeps quran from getting outdated. Right ?
Like when it say "dara or any thing smaller then that"
dara=zara=smallest known particle.(atleat back then)
And when they found atom.. quran stayed updated.
when they found smaller things it stayed updated.
keeping quran updated by finding interpretations of your liking? Why do you need to keep Quran updated? Its a book of guidane, not webster dictionary that needs updates.

yes. I picked the wrong term.
What I meant was.

He meant that the language used in the Quran will always remain relevant. Whatever discoveries are made the terminology will be accurate.
There is a reference that the Quran needs no revision or change and that, until the end of days, the words written therein shall be applicable in their original state.
I honestly serioulsy do not beleive that we should use Quran as a book of sceince, or to prove scientifc theories. That is making a mockery of that book.

I agree with you.
I don't think it meant to be a science book. But I still maintain, its not wrong about any thing which goes on.
But scientific proof needs accepted scientific language. We should avoid using words like prove, specially "science".
Using word science start a process in mind of reader. On the other hand you can invite them to find faults. So then they first make peace with the statements stated in simple language. So you avoid "oh that lose translation does not prove any thing"
Once they make peace with language.. then they can find fault. Which by the way .. I think.. quran encourages.
But by going on front foot like "quran proves " cause people to start finding fault with every thing after "quran proves "
But by going on front foot like cause people to start finding fault with every thing
That is really not fair. There are occasions when going on the front foot is called for - a pitched up delivery, going forward pretending to offer a shot but cleverly using the pads.
On the other hand, going on the front foot to any deliver short of length will cause people to fund fault with the front foot operator.
